Deborah Young attending the 2019 Fajr has picked Navid Mohammadzadeh as her favorite Iranian actor; 90% of Hollywood is anti-Trump.
In an interview running on the sidelines of the 37th edition of the Fajr international Film Festival, the American journalist of the Hollywood Reporter and a film critic Young, a special guest to the Iranian film event, has singled out Iranian megastar Navid Mohammadzadeh to be her favorite actor.
Deborah has also praised the cinema of Abbas Kiarostami and noted that the younger actors like Navid have grown over strong roots like Kiarostami.
Mohammadzadeh, who has conducted a prolific artistic life appearing in a big number of films such as ‘Life and a Day’, has been widely applauded and has been at the recipient end of a number of national and internationals awards.
For his role in ‘No Date, No Signature’, Navid has won around five awards including the Best Actor from the 74th Venice Film Festival in Italy.
During the same interview, Young claimed that a majority of Hollywood is anti-trump. She also draws a line between Hollywood actors and Trump saying artist of different point of views get together at Hollywood not following money so there is no connection between those people and Trump.
The 37th edition of the Fajr International Fest which kicked off on April 18 is currently underway in the Iranian capital of Tehran. The event is set to wrap up on April 26.
